High School Co-operative Education Program Overview
St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton (SJHH), through the Volunteer Resources Department, is pleased to provide a high school co-operative education program. The purpose is to offer experiential learning opportunities to high school students to provide an introduction to healthcare and assist with decision-making regarding healthcare careers.
Co-op students accepted into this program will be supervised by St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton staff and their assigned co-operative education teacher.
This program overview is designed to give students a general idea of the various placement opportunities at each campus. For more specific detail regarding the placement, students can ask their co-op teachers for the placement description.
Please keep in mind placement opportunities will defer in each campus per term. For more information on which placements for being offered for the following term, please speak with your co-op teacher.
