IEC Mentorship Award

The IEC Mentorship Award recognizes individuals and businesses that are nominated by our education partners and the Hamilton community in general for their outstanding commitment in providing meaningful mentorship opportunities for young people.

Category

The IEC Mentorship Award 2011- Business category was presented to the Hamilton Spectator. The Hamilton Spectator is nominated by the Faculty of Social Sciences Experiential Education Program at McMasters University.

IEC Mentorship Award 2011- Individual Category

The IEC Mentorship Award 2011- Individual category was presented to Shonna Sager, a volunteer cofounder of Club Gains, a volunteer based organization that supports youth with developmental disabilities.

Cheryl Jensen, IEC Board Chair presented the awards to the Hamilton Spectator representative Laurie Kovach (left) and Shonna Sager (right) at the Partners in Education Breakfast that was held on November 1st, 2011.
